Who will you be joining? 

 

The P&C Academy (Property & Casualty) is part of the unit “Global P/C”, a Center of Strategy and Execution within Allianz SE.  Our mission is to provide functional training to the technical community in Allianz on a global level. The technical community consists, amongst others, of underwriters, pricing analysts, portfolio managers, claims experts and loss control engineers. The P&C Academy grants three levels of accreditation and is externally accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute in London, one of the leading private insurance training institutes in the world.

 

How can you make an impact? 

 

We are looking for an Intern/Working student who will primarily carry out the following tasks:

  • Supporting the Senior Program Manager in organizing and delivering the P&C Academy trainings, Webinars, e-Learnings.
  • Coordinate all operational activities with OEs on global level in support of the delivery of programs, including e-learnings and face-to-face trainings
  • Prepare all hardware and software required to deliver training program
  • to attend – in exceptional cases - training programs to provide logistical support (up to a week at a time, located in the area of Munich)
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding the procurement of training material
  • Maintain and update P&C Academy intranet page, eLearning’s
    • Supporting the reporting
    • Supporting to simplify processes

 

What are you made of? 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a related field of study (such as business administration, or similar)
  • We work in a very international environment, and English is our business language, therefore we require all candidates to have strong English language skills, knowledge of additional languages is also very helpful.  We also require at least one-year’s work experience in a corporate environment. This paid internship would be ideal for someone who wants to gain experience working in a corporate functional learning academy for a large and complex global organization.  The academy does not deliver programs in people development, they are handled by Allianz U.
  • This is an opportunity for learning and personal development through coaching and mentoring of the senior members of the team.  Our Interns enjoy a very collegial atmosphere, and there is a strong network of students at Allianz.
  • Ideally, the Internship will start and run for a minimum of six months in case of fulltime / up to 12 months for working students (part time) Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus

Candidates should:

  • be proficient in the use of software, i.e., Microsoft Office Suite tools – specifically Excel (Macro programming experience is a plus), PowerPoint, and web-based programs.  also have a proactive mindset, good attention to detail and a sense of academic rigor and willingness working independently
  • Programming skills are a plus
  • User experiences with FIGMA are a plus
  • Requirement for internship and working student positions is the enrollment in a university – or (for an internship) a gap year
