Department description / job purpose / role:


The Operations & IT steering department takes over of strategic steering of the Operating Entities (OEs) of Allianz Group towards Operations and IT Group Strategy.
In this department, we are currently looking for an intern in the area of productivity steering of our Allianz internal shared service provider AZ Technology. In this area we are particularly responsible for analyzing the productivity drivers and for steering the agreed productivity improvements of AZ Technology from a Group perspective.


Key responsibilities:


You support the team in their daily work, e.g.: 
- Support and further develop the the benefit tracking of IT projects
- Support with the further development of the business case (templates) for the Business/IT Master Platform (BMP/ITMP) of Allianz Group, and the analysis of the OEs' business case data
- Provide support for the analysis and further development of the Global BMP/ITMP business case
- Provide support for the further development of the financial steering of the OEs’ BMP/ITMP roll-out
- Support the enhancement of the pricing model for BMP/ITMP
- Provide support for evolving further suitable methods, frameworks, tools and initiatives to enhance AZ T’s and AZ Group’s productivity
- Provide support in projects and preparations of Board presentations

This experience offer a great starting point for you to get to know the insurance industry, and some of the operating entities of the Allianz Group. In addition you will acquire valuable analytical skills. You will work independently with guidance from senior capability leads and your personal mentor.


(education, trainings, certificates, special IT skills - e.g coding languages + specific software skills, language skills, etc.):


- You are at an advanced stage of your degree and have a proven track record Studies in Business Administration, Economics, other business related fields or Mathematics.
- You do have excellent MS Office skills, especially in Excel, and PowerPoint 
- You are fluent in English (spoken and written), additional language skills are a plus


Experience & Key skills
(relevant professional experience, years of experience, soft skills, etc.):


- Strong analytical skills, especially quantitative aptitude
- Experience in handling and interpretation of data
- Experience with complex Excel spreadsheets incl. data modelling
- Experience in VBA programming is a plus, not a must
- Ability to communicate in a clear, well-structured manner
- Experience in project work as well as work experience in consulting or financial services industry is a plus
- Good social skills and cultural awareness
- High degree of sensitivity and accuracy in working on key strategic issues for the Allianz Group
- International experience (e.g., stay abroad) is a plus
