Who will you be joining? 


Located at Allianz’s headquarters in Munich, the Global Sustainability department drives the industry-leading sustainability strategy of Allianz Group, it integrates climate, environmental, social and governance considerations in our business and operations. The team also manages societal impact programs, and leads the non-financial reporting and sustainability ratings projects.The Global sustainability team is looking for a full-time intern (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible for a 6-8 month period.

In the full-time role, the intern will support with strategic communication activities ranging from authoring of articles and organization of key meetings and events to visual support and social media communication. Creativity, efficiency, project management, high attention to detail and ability to liaise with people from different backgrounds and hierarchies are required assets.

How can you make an impact? 


You will work in a diverse and challenging environment, which allows for increasing responsibilities in a high-performing and agile team. Depending on your skillset and interests, your tasks may include:                                                                            

  • Preparation of content and communications for our social media and intranet channels
  • Support the preparation of our annual Sustainability Forums
  • Designing and editing visuals and videos for promotion of sustainability topics and events
  • Preparation of presentations and meetings
  • Support an effective and efficient execution of various projects and strategic initiatives
  • Manage and handle daily tasks and ad-hoc requests on an ongoing basis.  

What are you made of? 


Minimum Qualifications 



  • You are currently working towards a university degree (master, PhD) in communications, marketing, business administration, sustainability, political science, environmental sciences or any other related field
  • Knowledge and/or interest in sustainable business practices, responsible investment and ESG issues
  • Ideally you have already gained first practical experience in the fields of communications, public or foreign affairs, consulting, sustainability or finance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required; German language an asset
  • Previous experience in business related functions (e.i. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
  • Requirement for internship and working student positions is the enrollment in a university – or (for an internship) a gap year

Preferred Qualifications 


  • Strong ability to think and act independently, to quickly adapt to new situations, with a 'get it done' mindset
  • Proactive, flexible and energetic team player with excellent communication skills (visual skills i.e. video editing skills, engaging communicator, writing and general editorial work) and a personal interest in sustainability topics
  • High attention to detail and ability to work on different workstreams at the same time
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
