Job Purpose/Role

The Communications team at Allianz Services manages the global end-to-end communications and change management both for the local and the global organization and to all our key audiences. Our aim is to enable engagement across all of our locations and lines of business, support transparent multiway communications irrespective of hierarchies and help all stakeholders know and understand our company.

We are looking for an experienced communicator to join us in our efforts to steer topics to new realms, using data analytics and new technologies to better tackle our employees' and clients' needs and preferences, through a multitude of channels and interactions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Communications Specialist, you will play an essential role in the design and implementation of Allianz Services communications programs and events both locally and globally, in close collaboration with the global communications team. You will get to shape communications approaches that further the Allianz Services' strategic goals and promote our business development, people and customer-related topics. You will get to drive and implement daring programs, meant to streamline communications, use data to simplify and customize messages and continuously improve the efforts and results of our team.

You will be part of an international team of professionals and report to the to the Head of Global Communications for Allianz Services.

Further responsibilities

  • Manage Allianz Services communications content promoting our strategy, purpose and projects in close collaboration with the Global Communications team
  • Create high-quality English-language stories from corporate content for all communication channels,
  • presenting complex technical concepts in easy storytelling formats.
  • Work with all departments across Allianz Services and important partners within the Allianz Group for a successful alignment of key messaging
  • Help build leadership social media presence
  • Identify target audiences and create strategies to engage them
  • Join forces with the marketing and sales functions to develop and share materials
  • Contribute to our Allianz Group global programs and support the rollout for Allianz Services (e.g. Purpose & Strategy, Olympic and Paralympic Movement and more)
  • Work closely with leaders and executives to develop and strengthen employee engagement activities and develop networks within our global teams and locations to ensure our employees stay updated on current topics.
  • Take up, when needed, either a Project Manager or an active project team member role for relevant
  • company events – coordinating communications and third-party providers (global and local townhalls/ summits, CSR and all other important events)
  • Copy editing and proof reading of communications materials for all communications
  • Develop new formats for communications that are scalable, and easy to understand
  • Deputize or substitute when needed the Head of Corporate Communications
  • Provide guidance and feedback to more junior team members
  • Adapt to unpredictable and tight deadlines in a constantly evolving environment

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • University degree in communications, journalism or psychology or equivalent work experience
  • Native proficiency in written and spoken English and German language
  • Solid storytelling competences and project management skills
  • Experience in content management for press releases as well as on social platforms and on internal
  • channels (intranet, newsletters, blogs, email and more)
  • Experience in organizing and managing events (both in person and virtual)
  • At least 3 years journalistic or corporate communications experience, ideally gathered in different,
  • international assignments (experience in successful implementation of end-to-end communications
  • campaigns could be an alternative skillset)
  • Good understanding of Data Analytics and AI/ML trends and their applicability to the Communications- previous experience implementing such trends and tools is a plus
  • Social media proficiency and proven experience with visual communication tools (building infographics, video clips and more)

Desired requirements /skills /experience

  • Understanding of shared services, insurance, consulting services and asset management business
  • Knowledge of any other languages spoken in our hubs might ease networking
