Planning and Performance Management (PPM) as part of the Finance function at Allianz Direct provides key stakeholders with appropriate information, analyses and recommendations to steer the company on a value based approach.


Key Responsibilities

  • Controller for the German portfolio of Allianz Direct
  • Responsibility for a topic within PPM area on global scale
  • Financial analytics supporting all business units including shareholder requests
  • Monthly and quarterly financial reporting for internal and external uses
  • Assess business development, capital allocation and critical issues
  • Oversee competitive strategy and German market dynamics
  • Support company-wide, cross-functional projects
  • Active participation in the ongoing development of the PPM area


Key Requirements/Skills/Experience


  • Higher education degree in finance, business administration, mathematics, engineering or other quantitative field.
  • Profound knowledge of insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, a good grasp of quantitative methods.
  • Proficiency with MS PowerPoint and Excel; Experience with SAP/ ECCS and/or SAS would be an advantage.
  • Very good English skills (written and spoken), additional languages a plus.
  • Experience & Key skills
  • Minimum 6 years relevant professional experience in financial controlling, investment, actuarial or risk, preferably in an operational unit.
  • Experience in cost accounting, cost controlling, productivity management.
  • Experience in developing a business plan or annual financial plan for company.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate financial topics for a non-finance audience.
  • Highly self-driven and proactive mindset.
  • Business maturity and ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of cooperation and ability to work toward team success.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and curiosity.
  • Willingness to challenge oneself and counterparties to strive for continuous improvement.
