Job purpose/role
You will work in the Global Financial Control function of AIM within the  Investment Analytics & Monitoring team, being responsible for data management, global monitoring and reporting on investments. The role involves designing, implementing & maintaining data solutions to enable efficient investment management for Allianz Group's portfolio of over 700bn € across various traded and alternative assets classes.  You will be in close contact with AIM Experts to understand business requirements and processes & with external and internal data providers to design and implement effective data solutions. You will also support operational risk management with the implementation and maintenance of the non-financial risk management framework. The work involves participation in strategic projects with close interaction to senior management.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain AIM's existing data structures and systems, constantly improve data-related processes 
  • Design and develop data solutions based on a thorough understanding of investment requirements and underlying processes
  • Manage external and internal data providers for roll-out of data solutions
  • Support to manage AIM’s operational risks resulting from inadequate internal processes also via risk & control assessments with key people from AIM’s departments 
  • Keep close contact to stakeholders from AIM SE departments, Allianz Group departments and Allianz entities across the globe

 

Key requirements / Skills / Experience

  • Interest in investment management, willingness to develop deep understanding of investment processes and financial instruments 
  • Interest to work with investment and investment-related (e.g. ESG) data and on data related projects
  • Adept at interacting with all levels of staff, including senior management.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player
  • Expertise in working with large data sets / databases is a plus
