What you do
The Agile Transformation Manager will be part of the IT & Agile Excellence within AzP IT Transformation and Steering. 
The position holder will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of a key strategic IT outsourcing transformation program, supporting the transition of IT services over to our IT Providers. You will contribute to this initiative by driving and maintaining a cultural shift towards agile practices across the program, with responsibility for defining and implementing agile governance, values, and processes that provide the overall framework and guidelines for agile delivery. 

 

As an Agile Transformation Manager, you will also play a crucial role in fostering a positive culture shift towards agile methodologies, providing training and development plans to support delivery and leadership teams in embracing the agile mindset and adoption

 

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough agile assessment to gauge the current state of agility within the LoB transformation delivery teams 
  • Identify areas for improvement and tailor agile frameworks to align with program goals
  • Establish and optimise standardised agile processes to enhance team efficiency and project delivery across the program
  • Create comprehensive playbooks outlining agile practices, roles, and responsibilities, providing clear direction on agile principles, frameworks, and best practices
  • Develop an upskilling strategy to reinforce agile concepts and delivery methods – meeting the specific needs of diverse delivery teams in LoBs
  • Organise interactive workshops and supporting communications to educate teams on agile principles and methodologies, to empower stakeholders in adopting best practices for IT transformation initiatives
  • Establish support mechanisms that provide ongoing assistance and resources to the delivery teams, facilitating a smooth transition to new agile practices and cultural shifts
  • Track progress and adjust plans to address evolving learning needs
  • Offer bespoke coaching sessions to all programme teams and leadership on agile principles, to ensure their support in driving and adopting the cultural and behavioural agile changes required to deliver the transformation program
  • Regularly report on agile transformation progress to stakeholders, emphasizing the impact on transformation goals, program progress and escalating any areas for improvement 
  • Develop a communication plan/strategy with IT Transformation team that outlines how agile changes will be communicated to the stakeholders, ensuring clarity and reducing resistance while actively promoting the benefits of agile transformation.

  • In-depth understanding of agile principles, frameworks, and methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute training programs for agile practices
  • Experience in successfully implementing agile practices in complex organizational environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey agile concepts and principles
  • Strong coaching abilities to guide teams and individuals in adopting agile mindsets
  • Ability to optimize and tailor agile processes to meet the specific needs of the IT Transformation team
  • Experience in creating upskilling plans to support individuals through cultural and behavioural changes
  • Fluent in English
