Job Purpose/Role
Group Accounting & Reporting provides reliable, high quality financial information to management, investors, analysts, regulators and the general public through external reporting.


As Accounting and Solvency II Expert in Group Accounting & Reporting you will be part of the Regulatory Reporting team within the department "Accounting & Reporting Allianz SE".


The Regulatory Reporting team is in charge of all accounting and reporting based requirements under Solvency II and regulatory reporting requirements to BaFin and Bundesbank for Allianz SE, the holding and reinsurance company of Allianz Group. The responsibilities of this team range from preparation of quarterly and annual closings according to Solvency II framework, planning and analysis of financial data to presentation of results to various internal and external stakeholders (Management/Supervisor/Public/Auditors) as well as preparation and submission of reports to BaFin and Foreign Trade Report. Moreover, the Regulatory Reporting team will provide reporting services to other insurance subsidiaries of Allianz SE.


Within this team you will take a pivotal role in the regulatory reporting tasks for other insurance subsidiaries of Allianz SE.


Key Responsibilities
As Accounting and Solvency II Expert in Group Accounting & Reporting you will support other insurance subsidiaries of Allianz SE with the following tasks:

  • onboarding of the new activities, including setting up the respective processes within the department
  • preparation of the quarterly/annual closing and planning under Solvency II (e.g. Market Value Balance Sheet, Own Funds)
  • quarterly and annual regulatory reporting under Solvency II to BaFin and Bundesbank (e.g. Solvency and Financial Condition Report, Regular Supervisory Report, Quantitative Reporting Templates)

 

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
Qualifications:

  • University degree – preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics
  • Excellent technical skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – VBA/Macro knowledge is a plus
  • Fluent written and verbal conversational skills in German and English


Experience & Key skills:

  • Multiple years (3+) of relevant job experience, preferably with a focus on IFRS and/or Solvency II
  • Knowledge of investment accounting would be an advantage
  • Ability to continuously develop technical knowledge and willingness to become an expert in Solvency II
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills with high attention to details
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The commitment to prepare and report accurate information within the constraints of tight reporting deadlines
  • Great team player with an ambition to learn and grow within a strong team
