Job Purpose/Role

As a Lead UX/UI Designer (m/f/d) you will play a key role within our UX Community in designing new digital experiences for Allianz users, taking them from design prototypes to live solutions in multiple countries. You will design experiences but also provide guidance to external product teams and stakeholders. You will be using and contributing to the Allianz Design System and tapping into insights from users, business and market. You will ensure quality and facilitate knowledge exchange. The work you do will change the way digital solutions are created and continuously optimized within Allianz. Key Responsibilities

 

  • Translate client business requirements, user needs, and technical requirements into designs that are visually enticing, easy to use, and emotionally engaging
  • Take an idea from inception through production and juggle multiple projects while effectively managing timelines and expectations
  • As Lead UX/UI Designer you create experiences and user interfaces for global products – as well as enable other UX/UI Designers by shaping design processes, Designer roles and way of working with the global Allianz Design System.
  • Be end-to-end responsible for UX quality of digital assets. Collaborate effectively with other disciplines to create the best digital presence in the market.
  • Create mockups, user flows, storyboards and production-ready designs that lead to intuitive user experiences. Determine information architecture and create sitemaps.
  • Facilitate design sessions with business and tech stakeholders and consider user needs. Incorporate design direction and feedback from multiple stakeholders. Contribute to the global Allianz Design System and closely collaborate with the Frontend Platform Team.
  • Be a sparring partner for UX/UI designers in an agile project context with a global reach. Overlook design capacity, UX quality, constrains and dependencies. Have an impact on DesignOps best practices for global initiatives, looking at people, processes and UX tools.

 

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

 

  • If you are an agile, open minded and proactive person with interest in working in a diverse, challenging and global environment, you are the one we are searching for! 3-5 years creative agency or tech product experience in UX/UI design for web, mobile, software applications (provide your portfolio).
  • A well-rounded UX/UI professional who connects the dots between business needs, innovation and good design. Knowledge of best practices in digital user interface design (UX/UI), e.g. for content websites, complex expert applications and channels like email, chat.
  • Passionate about understanding current and emerging UX/UI trends and keeping the team and clients informed about it. Experienced at driving user experience throughout the build-measure-learn loop in several projects. Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Team Spirit: Be willing to help team mates, share your knowledge and learn from them. Leadership skills in a project context. Proactiveness in solving challenges and good time-management skills. Bachelor Degree in the field of experience design or visual design, computer sciences or related fields.
  • Experience in the application of relevant UX/UI and design system tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision is a must. Familiar with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS design capabilities. Fluent in responsive design. Excellent command of spoken and written in English.
  • Ability to carry out tasks independently in non-standardized (ever-changing) work situations
  • Readiness to mentor new team members and junior colleagues
