JOB ROLE SUMMARY 
The Data Intelligence team simplifies insurance for our customers, drives the future data landscape with you and accelerates the transformation of Allianz into a data-driven service provider as we are pragmatic, courageous team players from diverse backgrounds. 
To enhance our mission, we are looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager for our Business Data Services unit in the Data Intelligence department.
The Senior Technical Project Manager will work in an interdisciplinary team reporting to the Head of Business Data Services.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Manage multiple projects in Data Intelligence using the appropriate project management framework and methodology
•    Co-create data solutions with different stakeholders, leveraging data to optimize and evolve Allianz business model by identifying potential improvements in data usage on a specific business use case and drive the functional changes
•    Manage the product backlog, developing and communicating the product goal, manage the product backlog (e.g. prototypes, PoC)
•    Validates effectiveness and feasibility of proposed opportunities to create future economic benefit by leveraging the full potential of internal and external data 
•    Guide cross-team and third-party partnerships - influencing without authority and using the power of diverse teams.
•    Plan, monitor, control and report project progress to project management governance and escalate issues if necessary
•    Being on top of any commercial aspects of your project or program, driving financial integrity
•    Support the transition of prototyped solutions into IT implementation phase

 

KEY INTERACTIONS
•    AZ SE, esp. group functions involved in dealing with Data and Analytics 
•    AZ OEs, esp. Data Hunter/Experts/Scientist, Chief Data Officer, Head of Data Analytics
•    AZ Technology, esp. Data and Analytics function
•    External partners (e.g., Data provider, research institutes, Fintech, Insurtech, Startups, solution partners)

 

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
•    Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
•    At least 5 years’ experience managing technology related projects, from which, at least 3 years’ experience should be with data solutions implementation.
•    Proven experience managing mid- to large-scale technology programs or projects, at international scale and preferably in the insurance industry
•    Experience with implementation of data and analytics projects in cloud-based architectures (e.g. Azure, AWS)
•    Broad knowledge about insurance dynamics (Allianz knowledge of advantage), transformation initiatives and dependencies 
•    PMP Certification or equivalent project management experience
•    Entrepreneurial can-do attitude and drive with out-of-the-box-thinking focus on quality execution and delivery of task, result-oriented, customer-focused, pro-active, flexible and energetic team player with ability to work under pressure
•    Collaborative mindset, ability to mobilize resources across boundaries and conflicting priorities
•    Being willing to 'go the extra' mile for our customers, partners and other business units
•    Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills combined with out-of-the-box-thinking
•    Strong presentation and communication skills towards senior management and diverse group of business and technical stakeholders
•    Fluency in English is required, additional languages are a plus
