Job purpose / Role:


Within Organizational Management (OM) Organizational Business Transformation (OBT) is the team responsible for business analysis in projects or major application changes, acting as  facilitator between business departments, enterprise architects  and IT Application Development.
Responsible for driving change, OM and especially OBT is in charge of business process analysis and reengineering across Allianz Re. 


The Business Analyst role is a multi-faceted position primarily responsible for working on major projects of high complexity, performing proper collection and documentation of requirements as well as all other standard business analysis tasks. The role requires credibility and confidence interacting with senior management, business unit personnel and our IT Application Development team across the full lifecycle of the projects.


Key responsibilities


  • Act as business analyst on Allianz Re and Group projects with a current focus on one of Allianz’ biggest transformation projects BMP Commercial. 
  • Manage the requirement pipeline before hand-over to scrum teams. 
  • Execute as-is analysis, root cause determination, solution development and implementation / monitoring in close collaboration with business functions
  • Serve as a key liaison between business and technical stakeholders. 
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define scope and priorities for business; drive business engagement and relationships to understand key business objectives and processes to support analysis and business solution definition. 
  • Act as contact person towards IT to define technical requirements and solve technical questions to support business processes. 
  • Take responsibility for coordination and consistent on-time delivery.




  • Background in Commercial business with affinity to software development or Background in software development with strong affinity to business discussions
  • Business Adminstration Degree or similar
  • Fluent in English, even in complex matters (other languages welcome)


Experience & Key skills


  • Senior colleague with multi-year SME or BA or leadership experience or Junior colleague with showing high potential
  • Structuring complex requirements into a coherent framework (e.g. experience in demand / backlog management)
  • Strong communication and moderation skills (e.g. experience in conflict moderation and/or presentation of software to stakeholders)
  • Strong analytical skills (e.g. understand business and technical dependencies of a topic quickly)
  • Creativity  & salesmanship (e.g. after understanding dependencies, find a solution and convince stakeholders)
  • High degree of proactivity to see and solve issues without supervisors constantly steering
