Job purpose / Role

Financial Reporting is the financial and non-financial publishing unit of the Allianz Group. We report timely and relevant financial information to executive management, the capital markets, investors, regulators and other stakeholders and are also responsible for the production of the Non-financial Statement and Sustainability Report.

We are looking for a senior with financial/non-financial reporting experience to manage the production of our regulatory and management reporting processes and products. You will also work on projects related to new disclosure requirements (e.g. IFRS 9 / 17, non-financial reporting).

 

Key responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for the Allianz Group´s Financial Reports (with special focus on the MD&A), including review of all content, ensuring consistent messaging across reporting products, aligning feedback from management / external auditors and timely publication of the Annual / Interim Report.
- Managing the relationship between internal and external counterparts, including the group auditors, and other internal departments who deliver content for the regulatory reports. 
- Supporting constant review of regulatory reporting products to keep high level of efficiency & effectiveness (particular focus on aligning Annual Report preparation, review and QA process).
- Keeping abreast of latest regulatory reporting requirements and ensuring these changes are reflected in the respective reporting products (focus Interim / Annual Report, Non-financial Statement).
- Driving the continuous improvement in data quality and governance surrounding non-financial KPIs and disclosures (e.g. be a key contact and support the global non-financial data coordinator network, provide guidance and initiate actions to improve data quality and reporting governance, work closely with PwC to project manage the non-financial audit process, support the development of non-financial disclosures).

 

Qualification
- University / Masters Degree in business adminstration, economics, mathematics or business informatics
- Excellent knowledge of MS-Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint); working experience with SAP-BW and/or SmartNotes is an advantage
- Fluency in English and German (written and spoken)

 

Experience & Key skills

- Professional experience in financial reporting
- Strong analytical and quick perception skills
- Ability to spot trends and present complicated information in a clear and market-oriented style
- Proven ability to work under time pressure and deliver with zero-mistake approach
- Ability to build good working relationships with many different internal counterparties on high management level
- Proven project management skills 
- Knowledge of IFRS 9 / 17 and experience in non-financial reporting would be an advantage
