In this context, the pricing team within CUO is collaborating closely with the Global Commercial Group Center on the global implementation of costing and pricing excellence in terms of tools and methodology for the Commercial segment, which accounts for a significant part of Allianz’ P/C business.

 

Key responsibilities

 

•    Initiate, lead and drive analytics projects from inception to completion. Apply analytical methods and algorithms to build products that streamline the process from data collection to insight generation
•    Support MidCorp pricing tool development as part of an agile software development process
•    Support tool implementation globally, including productive maintenance and rating parameter updates
•    Drive implementation of the ‘Allianz Technical Price System’: On-site support of Allianz operating entities and respective knowledge transfer through dedicated pricing projects: data acquisition and enhancement, technical analysis, scenario testing, renewal strategy, portfolio steering and monitoring
•    Continuous development, enhancement and delivery of Functional Pricing Reviews, MidCorp Deep Dives, and Technical Price Certification
•    Development and delivery of Commercial Lines Pricing training programs as part of the training programs
•    Set global best-practice technical price models
•    Support local technical price/model calibration projects, employing internal/external data and developing local modelling capabilities
•    Build up forward looking portfolio insights through scenario testing to enable policy-level target pricing

 

Qualification

 

•    Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a comparable discipline
•    Minimum of 5-8 years in-depth Commercial pricing knowhow in Line of Business (Property/Engineering or Financial Lines/Liability etc.) in a leading P&C insurance company
•    Expert knowledge in WTW (Willis Towers Watson) Radar
•    Expert knowledge in loss modeling methodologies for Commercial Property/Engineering and/or Commercial Financial Lines/Liability
•    Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken), other languages would be a plus

 

Experience & Key skills

 

•    Ability to relate actuarial pricing problems to data-driven solutions. Experience in applying modern machine learning models, ideally in an actuarial context
•    Outstanding conceptional and strategic capabilities, combined with flexibility, creativity and innovation skills
•    Strong track record of delivering change in a complex business environment. Getting things done in influencing roles without disciplinary authority
•    Ability to work in a team, and to train and guide team members
