Key responsibilities/What you do
The Group Data officer defines Allianz Partners (AzP) Global data strategy, drives AzP global data transformation and develops AzP global data capabilities, aligned with AzSE data framework & AzP business priorities, with the aim of establishing a data driven organization. He/She is responsible for the Global Data Governance, involving stakeholders of all Functions, LoBs and Business Units around the world.

 

The Group Data Officer will define and manage the provisioning of internally or externally sourced data and information to the organization to support business objectives, processes and decision making. Driving the documentation of data objects and repositories, as well as of the end-to-end data lineage, in strong partnership with data owners.

  • ­Define the company’s global data strategy in line with the business strategy and AzSE data strategy
  • ­Define and lead global data governance, data lifecycle management and data sourcing. Responsible for the global governance framework, processes, standards, tools and steering (e.g. timelines and outcomes)
  • ­Monitor data by establishing clear internal controls, processes and policies to ensure acceptable data quality and compliance to data related regulations,
  • ­Define necessary global data capabilities considering the need for appropriate data availability, quality and ownership. Monitor the delivery of the prioritized data capabilities as a Data Program
  • ­Define and implemement a standard common business glossary supported by data domain owners 
  • ­Guide data management aspects (e.g. governance, quality, MDM, BI & analytics, privacy, security, etc.) and data related regulations,
  • ­Drive initiatives to develop data skills

 

Key requirements/What you bring

  • ­Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining
  • ­Experience in enterprise level business glossoary, data modelling and data design
  • ­Data governance in a multi-country setup
  • ­Animation of a multi-function, multi-LoB and data community
  • ­Database administration experience
  • ­Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
  • ­Outstanding problem solver
  • ­Good written and verbal communication skills
  • ­Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant field
