The Cyber Center of Competence (CoC) for the Allianz Group is embedded within Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), the Group’s provider of corporate and specialty lines of business, which has been offering tailored IT and cyber insurance solutions for international businesses for over a decade.

The Center of Competence has been mandated by Allianz Group to define the Cyber insurance and services strategy, set the foundations and governance for the segment, and steer profitable growth for Cyber throughout the global organisation.

Based in London or Munich and reporting directly to the Global Head of Cyber, you will be key in ensuring product governance and development.      

Key Responsibilities


In this role you will…


  • Lead the steering and controlling of the global product portfolio to drive simplification and alignment cross LoB and cross regions.
  • Own the development and implementation of cyber product transformation initiatives, in line with Global Cyber strategy. Contribute to developing a global product strategy and define a product transformation strategy for the cyber product, cyber extensions, endorsements and exclusions
  • Design and develop global reference wordings library of approved wordings, extensions, and endorsements
  • Proactively monitor LoB product portfolio and take corrective measures to ensure target product compliance is achieved
  • Drive x-LoB and x-functional collaboration and exchange to ensure product strategy being fully embedded in Group wide strategies and initiatives                                                    
  • Proactively analyse relevant markets to identify legal and market developments, client needs and areas for innovation. Communicate product strategy to internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactively drive the implementation of product lifecycle governance framework in liaison with relevant stakeholders                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • Preferably Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, or comparable discipline    
  • At least 7 years’ experience in the international insurance market, be a proven technical expert in cyber
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of cyber products, coverages, underwriting practices, and sales distribution channels         
  • Substantial cross LoB experience including cyber                                                         
  • Understanding of cyber market trends and requirements.                          
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory framework for International Industrial Insurance business. Deep understanding of Alllianz internal rule framework
  • Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire, ability to quickly identify guiding principles in complex scenarios
  • Strong understanding requirements of business transformation on product architecture and wordings
  • Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally.  Ability to "sell" an improvised or prepared audience winning story
  • Fluent in English
