Based in London and reporting to the Head of UK Property, Energy & Construction Claims, you will work on Energy & Construction claims including Inherent Defects Insurance (IDI). You will drive excellence in the claims handling service provided to brokers, clients and internal customers.

Responsibilities  

In this role, you will… 

• Resolve Energy & Construction claims, ensuring cost effective, service-oriented solutions 

• Actively evaluate and address coverage issues and determine appropriate reserving levels 

• Input and maintain accurate claims records (e.g. reserves, payments) for designated accounts 

• Process standard indemnity and expense payments 

• Produce management information reports (e.g. monthly major claims movements) 

• Prepare referral documentation and materials as appropriate 

• Report loss information internally and externally 

• Work with other functional areas in Claims handling process, e.g. Underwriting and Operations 

• Actively review late/non-payment of premium and support credit control process with Underwriting /Accounts

• Have a basic understanding of E&C Insurance, reserving principles, coinsurance and reinsurance   

• Be proficient with Microsoft Office, and used to learning new systems quickly and efficiently 

• Be able to use data in order to provide meaningful analytics  

• Have excellent communication skills, able to create and maintain solid relationships at every level within the organisation  

Ideally you will also have… 

• A previous solid experience in the field of E&C claims 

• A professional insurance qualification
