The role takes prime responsibility for relationship management and driving broker initiatives with key brokers on a Global basis to deliver profitable growth in line with AGCS and Allianz Group focus areas

 

Key Responsibilities

 

In this position you will…

 

  • Proactively manage the relationship process and strengthen the business relationship with key brokering partners on a global basis
  • Schedule and chair regular development meetings and capability pitches in order to actively manage the pipeline of renewals and new business prospects, contact mapping, contributing towards the planning and hosting of broker hospitality events, evidenced in SFDC. Facilitate broker’s understanding of AGCS underwriting appetites and capabilities and act as point of access to AGCS for broker enquiries
  • Drive broker relationship mapping to increase AGCS profile and promote AGCS as preferred insurer amongst key broker partners
  • Effectively manage broker administration and broker file maintenance
  • Manage the broker administration process including agency/broker accreditation, broker credit scoring and negotiation of Terms of Business Agreements (TOBA’s), broker remuneration strategy, broker credit control and adherence to Allianz anti-corruption policy. Working with Compliance and Internal Audit to ensure that processes are compliant at all times. Managing the broker file maintenance process including managing broker records - structure charts, hierarchies, file notes, and broker contacts. Manage all broker matters related to the AGCS sales IT platform (Salesforce).
  • Successfully increase AGCS "Share of Wallet", meeting New/Upsell and Cross Sell targets as per Global and Regional sales plan for key global & international brokers
  • Achieve retention ratio as per global broker sales plan for key brokers
  • Achieve Client Service Model targets for broker managed accounts by being the accountable partner for external delivery
  • Proactively engage in dialogue with brokers to identify and deliver Upsell and Cross Sell opportunities
  • Drive global broker initiatives and KPI management to improve broker strategic and trading relationships
  • Utilise Customer Centricity insights from internal and external sources to improve Allianz go to market strategy and execution
  • Participate in execution of Sales Culture initiatives, including Sales training, both within Distribution and across LoBs
  • Act as a resource to LoBs to escalate issues with senior management of Broker Partners
  • Lead proactive planning and management of the strategic sales pipeline (new business acquisition, cross sell, upsell)  and optimise retention levels in alignment with CUO, Key Client and Global Industry Solution strategies
  • Effective pipeline management (renewals and new business prospects)
  • Monitor and control local adherence to commission tables
  • Improve submission and quote ratio of agreed broker managed target list
  • Regular update of broker accounts, bottom-up planning of broker accounts, local implementation of broker segmentation
  • Proactively manage internal relationships
  • Ensure quality of service provided by broker team meets broker expectations
  • Through regular dialogue with designated LoBs manage relationship with internal LoBs to enhance AGCS offering to key broking partners Support other MM initiatives as appropriate such as Net Promoter Score, segmentation, product development, value proposition, contributing to broker sales plan, etc.                                                                                                                                       

 

 

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience Proven track of Underwriting or Development role in industrial / specialty insurance business. Specialized knowledge in various Line of Business
  • Significant experience of delivering in an analytical role (sales environment, controlling roles or similar). Robust knowledge in at least one trade sector
  • Significant demonstrable experience of fostering long term, profitable relationships at senior level in broker and client organizations
  • Successful track record of prospecting new clients in industrial / specialty insurance segment. Experience with International Program Business
  • Significant experience working in complex, global matrix organization
  • Insurance and Sales Distribution: knowledge of large risks and specialty risk insurance. Ability to utilize experience to implement best practice in channel management
  • Strategic Market Management: ability to define segmentation and client differentiation strategies; ability to define clear value proposition
  • Portfolio management: ability to articulate businesses on the AGCS multi-line offering and benefits
  • Communication & Presentation: ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally. Ability to "sell" an improvised or prepared audience winning story
  •  Influencing skills: ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority
  •  Analytical Skills: ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire
  • Negotiation and conflict management: ability to negotiate best position for AGCS, and client, often in contentious situations, managing conflicting priorities of various parties
