Job Purpose/Role

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty have a number of internship opportunities available for Summer 2022 based in several departments across the business.

The successful candidates will participate in AGCS’s 12-week internship programme with the aim to gain experience and exposure to the London insurance market.

 

Summer Internships at AGCS

AGCS London are excited to be running our Summer Internship Programme for the second time following the success of our 2021 programme. If successful, you will be part of a cohort of interns joining AGCS for the summer across various functions. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities within your teams, you will have the opportunity to complete a Shadow Board Project, working closely with the Board to research a real-life problem to then present back at the end of the programme. The programme will also comprise of on-the-job learning, self-study, Q+A sessions with industry experts and access to our virtual learning platform.

 

Responsibilities

In the role you will…

  • Proactively support the preparation of the Underwriting process
  • Develop and maintain peer level relationships with brokers
  • Deliver effective and efficient Underwriting support for internal and external customers
  • Proactively liaise with other functions to ensure timely and accurate policy administration
  • Carry out independent research for your department

 

To be successful in the role

You will have

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and be able to demonstrate a confident and professional manner.
  • Be a team player with analytical abilities and willingness to learn
  • Research skills
  • Be a self-starter who takes accountability for their work
  • Interested in a career in insurance

To qualify for the programme we do require you to have a Right to Work in the UK (Company sponsorship will not be offered).

Next Steps

If you’re successful in the initial recruitment stage, you will be invited to a virtual insight session at the end of January. The purpose of this session will be to learn more about AGCS, the roles available and the recruitment process. The session will be recorded.
