Based in our London office, reporting to the Regional Head of Claims for Region Unit London, your role will have a dual focus; you will handle a range of administrative and organisational tasks on behalf of the Regional Head, but also manage claims projects, support regular reporting and that the department can manage the teams by operational data, lead certain processes, presentations and tracking systems in order to assist management in the taking of operational and strategic decisions.


Exceptional organisational skills, and a sense of initiative and autonomy will be key for the role. If you have experience in Corporate & Specialty Insurance and are resolutely service-minded, this is an ideal opportunity to expand your knowledge of multiple lines of business and gain an insight into Claims operations and strategy.



You will take on the following tasks, working closely with your 45-strong Claims team as well as with managers in Claims, our Global Claims data team, Underwriting and Finance:

  • Take the overall lead on wider Claims projects and initiatives with support of Subject Matter Experts across the business
  • Handle the publication and dissemination of Claims data and reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Ensure improvements in communication channels and quality of data
  • Analyse the data and escalate any issues as appropriate
  • Ensure that data is regularly used to drive and support  operational decisions in the Claims Department
  • Support or participate in Smart Circle meetings with Underwriting teams (all LoBs)
  • Support the Procurement function for our external service providers
  • Draft content and finalise presentations for Region Unit London (RUL: UK and Nordics) leadership meetings
  • Increase automation in reporting and tracking systems
  • Become the key point of contact to centralise training needs and resources
  • Support the Regional Head of Claims in administrative tasks
  • Ad-hoc tasks to support strategic analysis and decisions


To be successful in the role:

  • You have experience in Corporate and Specialty Insurance
  • A firm understanding of the Insurance process and in particular Claims
  • Knowledge of the AGCS lines of business and clear motivation to learn
  • Ideally you have a professional insurance qualification, or are working towards it
  • At ease in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • An understanding of, and experience in, Project Management methodologies
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • A confident communicator, able to build relations both inside and outside the company
  • Service-minded and a positive team spirit
  • At ease handling remote relationships
  • Sense of initiative, able to suggest improvements in processes and systems
  • Agile and data-driven
