Snr Exec, Commercial Underwriter

Exciting opportunity to be part of the team that has been writing many prestigious buildings and towers, place of attractions, ports, public transport, semiconductor, and data center facilities. This is a Commercial Property underwriting role in Head Office. The successful candidate will decide the risks that the Company shall accept and lead the Branches Underwriters nationwide.

You'll be responsible for:

• To guide and provide technical support to Branches nationwide in Commercial Business.
• To review and underwrite risk in accordance to Company’s risk appetite and guideline.
• To upkeep record of underwriting info obtained, decision and referrals made for future note and audit purposes.
• To collaborate with other departments when required on sales, claims, risk management and governance matters.
• To undertake any other responsibilities, duties or projects if any as assigned by the Head of Department.
   

Important to your success:

• Bachelor’s Degree or diploma preferably in Business, Insurance, Building/Facility Management, Engineering, Actuarial; or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years working experience in the Industry
• Team player, can do attitude, willingness to learn and embrace Company’s underwriting culture and philosophy. Mentorship and coaching to be provided.
• Familiarity with Revised Fire Tariff is a plus
