The overall objective of the role is to coordinate risk activities in accordance with Allianz Technology SE in ensuring Allianz Technology SE standards for Operational Risk Management (IRCS, Branch Compliance and Internal & External Audits) are supported within the specified deadlines/timescales.  
Interpersonal and communication skills are required to effectively translate complex IT, risk and general security issues and solutions into terms that can be presented and understood by both technical and non-technical audiences. Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Provide support and guidance to the Allianz Technology UK on governance issues (incl. Compliance, risk, & regulatory requirements).
  • Maintain effective working relationships within the department (Allianz Technology) and with Business representatives (Allianz OE) as appropriate.
  • Provide support in ensuring all the audit related activities (Internal, External and third party) are managed efficiently and effectively.
  • Review and process continual improvement of documented IT processes from a risk & compliance perspective


  • Life-cycle: pro-active and timely execution of the risk management lifecycles (IRCS, IT-RM, SoG, TPRM) and drive for full compliance with AZ Technology Risk, IRCS and Outsourcing Policy
  • Assist in regular reviews of IT Risk assessments with the risk owners
  • Manage periodic reporting requirements related to Risk activities to the direct report and to relevant Stakeholders
  • Assist in successful accomplishment of the annual focus topics (as communicated in CRO Update Call)
  • Support the timely delivery and high quality of the Control Assurance Report and other relates audit reports by emphasizing on the comprehensive coverage, quality and effectiveness of the internal control system
  • Assist in preparation and running of the local risk committee
  • Supporting colleagues across the organization to improve understanding and embed a proactive risk culture


Technical Skills:

  • An excellent understanding of IT Risk, Compliance and Governance frameworks and their implementation
  • Experience of using the COBIT control framework
  • Understanding of the requirements of the Solvency II regime.
  • Experienced in conducting IT Risk and Compliance assessments
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey risk issues effectively up to Senior Management level.



  • Experience of working in a ‘Big 4’ audit company or Financial services sector is desirable
  • Sufficient knowledge of IT processes and technical platforms to be able to interface credibly and effectively with IT technical personnel.
  • A good understanding of process & control design and re-engineering principles
  • Proven success of influencing management, key stakeholders and staff using reports, presentations and face to face meetings.
  • Proven report writing skills.
  • Background in IT Audit / IT Governance / IT Risk Management
  • Independent project management capabilities
  • Advance Office tool skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)



  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • At least one relevant IT Governance qualification desirable or working towards achieving one (CRISC/CISA/CGEIT)
