We are seeking a Cost & Productivity Analyst to join our Cost & Productivity Management team within the Plan & Performance Management Department of Group Finance. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for driving financial analysis and reporting for the Board of Management (BoM) and the Allianz Group shareholders. You will contribute to cost analysis, budget planning, and productivity reporting, ensuring that our financial insights are accurate and timely.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Financial Reporting: Contribute to monthly and quarterly cost analysis reporting to the BoM, shareholders, and the Board of Directors. Provide ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Monthly Closing and Forecasting: Collaborate with team members on the monthly closing process, conducting global analysis and proactively addressing issues during forecasting and pre-close processes.
  • Budget Planning and Functional Analysis: Assist in budget planning activities and perform detailed analysis to identify trends and insights.
  • Cost Allocation and Harmonization: Develop and implement rules to harmonize cost allocation across regions, ensuring alignment and quality in financial data reporting.
  • Productivity and Growth Reporting: Lead the collection of productivity savings and growth investments, preparing detailed cost breakdowns and reports on gains.
  • Project Support: Contribute financial insights and analysis to various ongoing projects, supporting the achievement of project objectives.

  • Ensure consistency in data harmonization across regions and improve data quality.
  • Stay updated on evolving financial regulations and technological advancements to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage cross-functional collaboration for data collection and analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to identify cost savings and productivity enhancements.

  • Critical analysis of financial data
  • Respect for deadlines and effective management of priorities
  • Strong synthesis and reporting skills with the ability to highlight key issues
  • Proactive attitude with excellent communication and presentation abilities

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI)
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines under time pressure
  • 5-8 years of experience in a financial controlling role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance principles
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to interact with senior management
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial planning software is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
