JOB DETAILS / ROLE PURPOSE
The Health Risk Management Manager must co-ordinate and support, in conjunction with the other Health Risk Managers, the risk management framework to support the Health LoB compliance with requirements and obligations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and ensure the implementation and management of the Risk Framework (polices standards, guidelines and rules);
- Facilitate the Risk Management process and provision of Risk Management delivery support (this includes among others, the Top Risk Assessment and Internal Control Framework);
- Coordinate, develop and maintain the risk governance arrangements, including governance and risk tolerance and appetite approach on existing and emerging risks;
- Support the development of the Risk Management culture to support the implementation and effective operation of Risk Management and Internal Control;
- Develop and ensure appropriate monitoring of identified key risks and progress toward implementing effective programs and controls is in place;
- Coordinate the effective implementation and maintaining of a network of Risk and Internal Control Coordinators as well as the provision of risk training to the wider business. Promote a positive risk culture within the business;
- Ensure that the priority risks are brought to the attention of the Regional Head of Risk and that appropriate mitigation actions are initiated and support the development of consistent reports for the relevant governance bodies;
- Ensure that all Risk Management and Internal Control reports (formal monthly updates and reports) are timely, accurate and contain up to date information and are tailored to the intended audience;
- Contribute to Global Risk initiatives
- Actively participate in and promote, process improvement on all processes and tasks where you are involved.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in risk management, internal control, project management or international support in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Candidates with Solvency II / Basel II experience, or proficiency with a Risk specialist skill an advantage.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of work and education experience.
- Ideally a Risk Management accreditation, Internal Control or Accounting qualification.
- Detailed understanding and knowledge of best practices and trends in risk management and internal control.
- Strong IT user skills, very good user knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Fluency in English
