This role is positioned within the Organisational Development and Research team within Allianz Ireland’s Transformation Function, reporting to the Head of Organisation Development and Research, Richard Cotter. The position is located in Allianz House, Elmpark, Merrion Road, Dublin 4.

 

The opportunity

Our Learning & Development Specialist partners with the business to analyse, design and deliver learning interventions which help advance our purpose and strategy, and which engage and develop our most valuable organisational asset – our people. There is also strong collaboration with group learning colleagues, to ensure alignment with our global learning strategy and to optimise and promote the use of group learning platforms. 

 

Key role responsibilities

 

  • Analyse learning needs at all relevant levels, in order to create learning plans with strategic relevance and alignment to business requirements  
  • Design and facilitate high-impact learning interventions for a variety of internal audiences
  • Evaluate and analyse learning activities, reporting on impact and learning transfer   
  • Design and curate content for our learning platforms, ensuring we maximise these technologies
  • Manage the upkeep and continuous improvement of learning policies and processes
  • Represent Allianz Ireland in various group and global learning fora  
  • Role model and promote lifelong learning amongst employees

 

Person Specification

 

Our Learning & Development Specialist will role model a learning mindset and possess the initiative, self-motivation, and personal leadership skills to help drive our learning strategy forward. They will also be a vital representative of learning at Allianz Ireland to group colleagues and possess the interpersonal skills to navigate and support the needs of multiple learning stakeholders at all level of the organisation.        

 

 

Skills & Experience Required

 

Essential

  • A minimum of five years’ experience as a Learning & Development Specialist, in a similar or relatable role and environment
  • A relevant and recognised professional L&D qualification
  • Superior interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence people at all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent working knowledge and experience of learning platforms such as Degreed, Blended and LMS technologies
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical competence, with the ability to extract and report on insights gathered via learning activities  

 

 

Desirable

  • Masters Degree in L&D or a related topic
