The Impact You Will Have 

The holder of this position is responsible for representing Finance towards IT and other areas in agile projects and in the run of financial systems and processes, as part of the Global Finance Solutions team.

She/he contributes as business expert autonomously to the development and implementation of best practices in her/his area of responsibility. She/he strongly works together with the North America CFO pillars as main customer, but also the global Finance teams, IT, process management and other AzC stakeholders.

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

  • Represent Finance as subject matter expert, proxy product owner, product owner in agile release trains and other projects and initiatives and develop further financial applications as well as the system architecture and process landscape in close collaboration with the North America and global CFO pillars, IT, process management and other AGCS and Group functions                                                                                                        
  • Support the execution of the Closing, Planning or Payment and Credit Control process by coordinating and monitoring associated activities on issue identification, business analysis and resolution.                     
  • Perform business analyses in the Finance domain in order to distill the essentials and the true business needs of the Finance function (the "What"), as input for the work in projects and agile release trains (e.g. for the replacement of the current SAP system by an Allianz Group solution based on S/4 HANA)
  • Review audit findings that relate to the financial applications and processes. Identify possible courses of action to address findings. In collaboration with involved stakeholders implement steps to mitigate those.
  • Harmonize, document and implement Finance related processes, based on sound analysis of various input from the different Finance teams and other sources.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • 3 – 5 years proven experience in Finance, especially in Accounting
  • 3-5 years experience in insurance / reinsurance, ideally P&C
  • At least 1-3 years of active experience with SAP FI/BW. Experience of other reporting tools (e.g. SAC, AFO, PowerBI) is a plus
  • 1-3 years experience in solution development (including implementation) to satisfy complex stakeholder requirements

Additional qualifications that make you stand out

  • 1-3 years experience in application and process development in Insurance Industry
  • 1-3 years experience in project and teamwork in a global and dynamic environment   
  • Understanding of data modeling, operations and technical workflows with regards to financial reporting and closing
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills to effectively analyze data and convey messages in a winning fashion.
  • Agile methods: Ability to work as Proxy Product Owner and/or Business Expert in Agile Release Trains or other agile setups, applying the agile methods and behavior and fostering them, while considering complex stakeholder structures and requirements

 

 

The annualized base pay range for this role is $75409 - $128400.  The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
