The Business Development Manager Travel, OTA and Digital is responsible for identifying, establishing and growing new partnerships for Allianz Global Assistance Canada within travel and travel related industries.

 

Bringing the knowledge that we are the best in the industry at protecting traveling Canadians and travelers coming into Canada, you will identify new and emerging opportunities for us to assist and care for more travelers during their travel emergencies through strong business partnerships.

 

Bringing your relationship management and sales management skills, you will ensure that the Allianz Advantage is made clear at meetings, trade shows, industry events and day-to-day through proactive outreach. 

 

 

What You Will Do:

 

  • Manage and grow the company's sales revenues in the online, supplier and distributor markets in the travel industry from new and existing clients and new and existing services. Participate in the development of marketing efforts in the market.
  • Identify emerging markets and channels where we can assist
  • Represent the company at industry functions.  
  • Recommend new products to the product development team that address new and evolving business opportunities.
  • Identify new opportunities, prospect for new clients, develop and present proposals, negotiate and close agreements, recommend and implement profitable strategies.

 

 

What You Will Bring

 

  • College University Diploma/Degree or equivalent, with background in business management and/or sales and marketing coupled with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry, market, client, business development trends.
  • Knowledge of innovative client management, sales and business development strategies, and demonstrated ability to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Demonstrated success with creative problem solving, consensus building and managing diverse interpersonal relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire new opportunities from cold status.  Demonstrated ability to drive client retention and growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of individuals at varying levels. 
  • Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks and shows initiative to suggest improvements to processes and procedures. 

 

 

 

Travel Requirements: 

Must have a valid drivers' license, personal vehicle, valid passport and be available for travel up to 50% of the time.
