Job role

 

As a Financial Accountant you will support our clients in managing and overseeing financial transactions related to reinsurance contracts within the organization. You will ensure accurate recording, reporting, and analysis of reinsurance activities in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

 

What you will do

  • Technical accounting of premium, claim and reserves based on statement of accounts or on bordereaux in SAP.
  • Support in monthly closing and handling queries from accounting teams, brokers, cedents.
  • Chasing of overdue balances and allocation of cash in a timely manner.
  • Monthly/Quarterly statement preparation and sending it across to reinsurers/brokers.
  • Following up on overdue balances with cedents/brokers
  • Coordination of payment settlements with brokers and reinsurers, in particular the control of outstanding balances.
  • Monthly reconciliation of open balances of each business partner followed by Dunning process for overdue balances.
  • Coordination with other departments (such as operations, accounting, claims) in improving processes as well as taking part in projects.
  • Preparing specific reports for various stakeholders such as Allianz Group or Regulating or State Regulatory Authority.

 

What you bring

  • Independent and intrinsically motivated; strong organizational skills, with ability to work on own initiative, adaptable.
  • Ability to handle complex processes including understanding of data flows.
  • Outstanding analytical skills with ability to analyse complex data / information from multiple sources.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong judgement, investigation skills and quantitative and analytical skills.

 

You have

  • University Degree (preferably Accounting, Economics or Finance).
  • Experience in Reinsurance Accounting, Insurance, or similar financial area.
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Office (primarily Excel).
  • Fluent in English.
