YOUR CHALLENGE

• Be part of a medical team consisting of experienced doctors and nurses in a 24/7 international area of work, ensuring shifts (weekdays, weekends, on-calls) for medical assistance coordination ;
• Assess by phone with the treating doctor abroad the urgency of the situation of our insured persons in an event of illness or accidents ;
• Get the necessary information about the pathology and the facility capabilities as soon as possible by a First Medical Assessment according internal decision-making tools ;
• Following this assessment, you are capable to analyze and evaluate the emergency of the request for assistance and makes an argued decision for an appropriate care on the spot or a transfer to the nearest appropriate facility or a suitable repatriation ;
• Ensure - if needed - the client's hospitalization in his/her home country following repatriation ;
• Have interactions with different departments in Belgium and internationally ;
• Analyze and control expenses ;
• Taking part in repatriation activity.

YOUR SKILLS

• Medical degree from an accredited and Belgian recognized medical school ;
• Experience in emergency  departments and/or aeromedical field is a plus ;
• Linguistic knowledge required: French, Dutch and English. Any additional language are an asset ;
• Flexible, enthusiastic and solution-oriented ;
• Ability to make decision, to demonstrate a high creativity and capacity to innovate ;
• Listening skills, you are assertive and customer-oriented ;
• Affinity for challenging work in an international area ;
• Comfortable to speak by phone.
