The Data Governance will lead the setup and deploy of data governance framework within Thailand according to Allianz global standard. In this role, you will support driving the company to be operated on a data as a service by create a viable local conceptual data model. In order to achieve that, this role will need to collaborate a lot with various stakeholders, from local business functions to IT, as well as Allianz' regional and group colleagues. You will have to define the key KPIs for data quality monitoring, which could be on a dashboard or any alternative agreed solution. After the governance framework is rolled out, this role will continue to manage and steer data governance topics including but not limited to improve data quality and maturity according to the predefined indicators.

Your Day at Allianz Ayudhya

• Own and design conceptual data model, and ensure data catalogue reflecting it
• Ensure conceptual data model is reflected in technical data model
• Rollout and lead the data governance framework within the organization. Own the governance process and components such as glossary and metadata management
• Define key KPIs of performance and data quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities
• Monitor enterprise data quality metrics, as well as perform data maturity and data fitness assessments
• Drive an improvement of data quality, maturity and fitness and to have consistent usage within the organization
• Maintain the enterprise metadata & data dictionary including Business glossary and Technical glossary
• Collaborate with business functions and IT to ensure the local glossary is aligned to global Allianz standard and resolve the conflicts if any
• Drive the Data Governance Committee to steer data governance framework is being implemented within the organization, as well as performing a retrospective and decision making on data governance requests

Must Have

• Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Acturial science, Information Technology or any other
• Minimum 5 years of experience for other business sectors or minimum 3 years for candidate with background in insurance or financial services and working experience in data governance or data architect
• Experience in data governance framework, data analytics, data engineer, or data architect
• Experience in designing an enterprise conceptual data model as well as capturing a data requirements in a large scale.
• Experience in managing and rolling out an enterprise data project / program
• Experience in working with various stakeholders in both business and IT domains

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of data modelling, database design and visualization
• Experience as a project manager or business analyst within Insurance or Financial sector is a big plus
• Experience in data warehousing and relational database technologies, data architecture and open source platforms are advantage
• SQL (in any dialect); other scripting language (e.g. Python) can be a plus
• Data model especially conception and data model. Best if the candidate also has an experience in a logical data model
• Knowledge about relevant data sources and ability to understand the big picture
• Experience in data governance tool (e.g. Axon) is a big plus
• Good to have: Cloud computing (e.g. AWS, Azure)
• Good to have: Data visualization tools (e.g.  PowerBI)
