PIMCO Prime is an Asset management company for PIMCO. The Asset Management and Development activities at PIMCO Prime Real Estate are organized in two pillars: regional development team and local Asset Management communities.

The apprenticeship position is within Building Technology Team under Innovation and European Development department.

Key functions of the department:

• Prepare the assets for future challenges by defining and implementing strategies for digitalization and smart buildings IoT integration.
• Assess recurring market research and technology updates for smart building and IoT components.
• Assist in the development of uniformed network and cybersecurity guidelines.
• Assist in Project implementation and execution of smart building and IoT projects, including deployment, data integration, and configuration.
• Conduct research on emerging trends in smart buildings, IoT innovations, and related technologies.
• Work closely with internal and external teams, including smart advisors, property managers, and facilities management, to ensure the successful deployment of smart building solutions.
• Assist in monitoring IoT systems' performance, collecting data, and generating reports on key metrics such as energy usage, building occupancy, and system efficiency.
• Documentation & Presentations: Assist in preparing project documentation, user guides, and presentations for stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals.
• Learn and apply best practices for securing IoT devices and data in alignment with the company’s cybersecurity policies.

Description of the mission

Reporting to the Team Head of building Technology and Program Manager Head of Product and Development, you will be involved in the group`s strategic approach to Innovation, Digitalization and Sustainability. You will perform this apprenticeship in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment and will be working on challenging strategic projects with global reach within the real estate investment and asset management practice linked to:

• Smart building and IoTs
• Data Science applied to Building Operations and data analytics (to improve main financial KPIs)
• IoT technologies (principles, methods, and protocols
• Cybersecurity applied to buildings.
• Networks and telecom

You will also work on other tasks as below:

• Contribute to the management of consultants on project-by-project basis
• Support the development of the group`s strategy on selected operational tasks
• Review and contribute to technical designs proposed
• Interface and support various lines of business for matters related to innovation and digitalization
• Bibliographic research, writing notes, preparing slide decks
• Organize, monitor (budget, deadlines) and support strategic projects with the additional project management tasks of:

- Preparation and minutes of meetings and scheduling

- Interface with internal stakeholders and external consultants

- Contribute to internal and external presentations

Profile / Competences

The ideal candidate:

• Engineering school (computer science, telecom, electrical or other) with a strong interest in Innovation and Digitalization
• Already experienced in working in a corporate environment (previous internship or full-time experience)
• Telecom, IoT, cybersecurity, smart building experience or strong interest is highly appreciated.
• Excellent command of English as well as French and/or German
• Perfect command of office automation tools (Microsoft suite)
• Strong ability to synthesize, conceptualize and solve problems.
• Well organized, flexible with availability to travel
