The Allianz Real Estate GmbH (“ARE”) Senior Compliance Officer is to support the ARE Global Chief Compliance Officer with all applicable compliance and regulatory matters. This position will be based in Munich.

This position requires a professional with diplomatic and analytical skills who can flourish in a challenging, fast-paced, and professional environment with frequent shifts in priorities as business needs dictate and reports to the ARE Chief Compliance Officer.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ARE Senior Compliance Officer is responsible for compliance matters in relation to ARE’s real estate advisory, investment and management activities globally. The primary responsibilities include:

 

  • Perform compliance activities, in accordance with ARE’s global compliance policies, including:
  • Support the ARE Global Chief Compliance Officer in relation to the coordination and execution of global compliance activities; Take full responsibility for one or more of the above topics, and be point of contact for local ARE Compliance Officers
  • Perform compliance reviews of the firm's marketing materials, product-related documents and client correspondence
  • Provide compliance trainings
  • Take initiative in learning and applying new skills and regulations

  • Have a strong sense of integrity, behaving consistently with expressed ethical values and principles
  • Service-oriented; the ability to balance regulatory and policy standards along with a business perspective
  • A highly motivated self-starter with the willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and the ability to drive change
  • Exceptional organizational skills; the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, follow up, produce consistently accurate work, and meet strict deadlines
  • Highly flexible, multi-task oriented: capable of rapidly changing directions based on business demands
  • Consensus builder and team player with the ability to work well within a matrix organization
  • Good sense of humor
