"As a fresh graduate who has only just set foot into the corporate world, working at Allianz has been nothing but the best first job I could have taken up. Embarking on the journey of my first job was an exhilarating experience to say the least; I was fraught with both nervousness and anticipation for what was to come, well aware that this would more than likely set the tone for my future career endeavours. And I was spot-on – this journey has been truly transformative, and the people I met along the way have only spurred me to reach for greater heights."
"I first joined the Life & Health Reinsurance Solutions team in ARAP, where I gained invaluable insights into the reinsurance business and honed my technical actuarial skills. My smooth learning process was facilitated by my managers, who were extremely nurturing in giving me opportunities to learn and grow in my own capacity. They created a learning grounds for me to experience this industry in a way that enabled me to grow with my knowledge, providing me with analytical challenges and projects that would cultivate my competencies. This was one of the key reasons as to why I had really wanted to convert full-time with Allianz.
The other reason was simple: Culture. In my time as an intern, I had observed how the ARAP office goes beyond the mere humdrum of day-to-day deadlines, and instead embraces each day with laughter and sassy quips about near-impossible challenges (even during peak renewal season). I also noticed how the Management Team was so approachable even to interns, which I thought goes to show how ready they are in lending a listening ear. All these proved to be more than true – working with the people at ARAP has been extremely fulfilling even when days are wrought with crunch-times.
All in all, I will always fondly look back to my experience with Allianz. To me, it was more than just a job – it was what shaped my professional self, polished my work ethic, and laid the groundwork for future success. I am terribly grateful to have interned at ARAP, especially with the priceless pathways it has opened up for me."
