6. Are social media plug-ins used on the Allianz career website?

The Allianz career website uses the following social media plug-ins ("plug-ins"):
  • Share button for Facebook, powered by Facebook (Meta Platforms, Inc.): Meta Platforms Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA.
  • Share button for Twitter (now X Corp.), powered by X Corp., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA.
  • Share Button for LinkedIn, powered by LinkedIn Corp., 1000 W. Maude Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94085, USA.
  • Share Button for Glassdoor, powered by Glassdoor Inc., 300 Mission Street, 16th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA.
  • Share Button for Xing (now part of New Work SE), operated by New Work SE, Am Strandkai 1, 20457 Hamburg, Germany.
  • Google Maps, powered by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043; USA.

All plug-ins are indicated with the brand names of the respective operators Meta Platforms Inc., Google LLC, New Work SE, Glassdoor Inc, X Corp., and LinkedIn Corp. ("Operator"). To increase the level of data protection and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, we have implemented the additional programs by means of a so-called 2-click solution for sharing content on social media networks. This procedure ensures that when you visit the Allianz Careers Portal, no direct connection of your browser to the servers of the Operator is established. Only if you activate the plug-ins by clicking on them and thereby grant your consent to the data transfer, your browser establishes a direct connection to the server of the respective Operator. The content of the plug-ins is then transmitted by the Operators directly to your browser and integrated by them into the Allianz Careers Portal.

By accepting the plug-in, the Operator receives the information that your browser has accessed the Allianz Careers Portal. If you logged in to your account when you visited the Allianz career website, the Operator can connect your visit to your account directly. If you interact with the plug-in, e.g. by clicking on the Facebook button, the +1 button and the Xbutton or the LinkedIn "Share" button, the data will be transferred directly from your browser to the Operator and saved by the Operator. In addition, the information will be published on the relevant social network or on your Twitter account and will be visible to your contacts. If you do not want this data transfer to the Operators, you must log out of your respective account before you click on the plug-ins and activate them. For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection, processing and use, please refer to the privacy statements below:

7. Where will your personal data be processed?

The Allianz Careers Portal, uses various data centers in an outside of the EU and the European Economic Area (“EEA”), using the Akamai IP assignment, which ensures connection to the most optimal data center, depending on the location of the user and internet traffic. As such, your personal data may be processed worldwide, both inside and outside of the EU and the EEA, by the parties specified above in Section 4. Please note that all countries, also within the EU or EEA, have different laws regarding the protection of personal data. When your personal data is transferred from your own country to another country, the laws and rules that protect your personal data in the country to which your information is transferred to may be different from those in your country and thus may provide a lower data protection standard.

If you are resident of the EU or EEA, whenever we transfer your personal data for processing outside of the EEA by another Allianz Group company, we will do so on the basis of the binding corporate rules (BCRs) of Allianz which establish adequate protection for personal data and are legally binding on Allianz Group companies. The public version of the BCRs and the list of Allianz Group companies that comply with them can be accessed here.

Where the BCRs do not apply, we will instead take steps to ensure that the transfer of your personal data outside of the EEA receives an adequate level of protection as it does in the EEA. When data is transferred in such countries, we rely either on the decision of adequacy from the European Commission or Standard Contractual Clauses as published by the European Commission. For more information contact us as detailed in Section 14, or visit the respective Allianz company.

8. What are your rights in respect of your personal data?

To the extent permitted by applicable data protection laws and regulations, you have the right to:
  • Access your personal data that you provided to us by using the Allianz Careers Portal or to request additional information including the origin of the data, the purposes and means of the processing, the details of the data controller(s), the data processor(s) and the parties to whom the data may be disclosed
  • Update or correct your personal data so that it is always accurate
  • Delete your personal data from our records if it is no longer needed for the purposes indicated above
  • Obtain your personal data in an electronic format and/ or request to transmit this data to another party you nominate

  • Withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, where your personal data is processed with your consent
  • Request a review of our decision regarding your job application, particularly given we use automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) as part of our processing activities relating to your application

Right to object

In the event and to the extent that we process your personal data based on our legitimate interests as mentioned in Section 3, you have the right to object to the processing on specific grounds relating to your particular situation. In such case we will no longer process your personal data unless we have compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

Even if both sender and receiver are located in the same country, information sent via the Internet may be transmitted across international borders and be forwarded to a country with a lower data protection level than in your country of residence. At Allianz, we leverage Azure Content Delivery Network, which means that we utilize a globally distributed network of servers that can efficiently deliver web content to consumers, thereby minimizing network latency.
