Global Non-IT Procurement, operating under the umbrella of Global Sourcing and Procurement, plays a vital role in the acquisition of services and solutions on a global scale. With a focus on four key categories - Professional Services and HR, Marketing and Communication, Insurance, and Facility Management, Energy and Logistics - the department ensures that its internal stakeholders have their needs met efficiently and effectively. By building collaborative partnerships, it creates an environment that promotes open communication, transparency, mutually beneficial outcomes by fostering strong relationships with both internal business partners and network of suppliers.
The team is comprised by strategic procurement experts who leverage their extensive industry knowledge and experience to manage a worldwide network of suppliers. Moreover, constantly seeking innovative solutions to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational productivity through continuous market research, supplier evaluation and risk management, maintaining the organization’s competitive and agile approach.
Through careful supplier selection, negotiation and contract management, it strives to secure the best value for the organization, while maintaining high standards of quality and service. Thus, allowing further a proper development and implementation of the procurement strategies that align with the Group’s goals, drive sustainable growth and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
The Strategic Buyer will be reporting to the Head of Global Facility Management, Energy and Logistics Procurement and will manage local and global procurement projects for the Facility and Logistics category demands (e.g. Technical Facility Management, Infrastructural Facility Management, Security Services, Cleaning Services, Catering Services) that align with the business objectives and deliver maximum value for the organization.
How can you make an impact?
You will:

Conduct local, national and global tenders via SAP Ariba Source to Contract following internal guidelines, laws and regulations

Execute procurement processes: proposal solicitation, evaluation, price comparisons, e-auctions, negotiations and award decisions

Manage contracts and amendments in SAP Ariba Source to Contract

Prepare market research summaries and advise business units on market trends, supplier options, and potential supply alternatives or standardizations

Consult with business units and other entities on strategic and tactical procurement to improve sourcing strategies and value for money

Analyze procurement market spend and conduct benchmarking, considering 'best practice' and 'total cost of ownership' approach;

Coordinate with the business on demand requirements and potential bundling opportunities

Collaborate with key stakeholders, legal, compliance, data privacy departments, and procurement colleagues

Oversee comprehensive contract management across the entire lifecycle, from decision making, tendering/contracting to contract exit management
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in procurement for an international operating company or in global project management in matrix organizations
-
Degree in a commercial or technical field (Master’s preferred) with several years of strategic procurement experience, ideally in Facility Management and Logistics

Autonomous style of working. In the same time collaborative and team oriented
-
Ability to work under pressure and handle a variety of topics (e.g. IT security, Data Privacy, Legal)
-
Fluency in German (required as 80% of daily business conducted in German), business proficiency in English
-
Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech) is a plus
