Each summer Allianz Life hires interns from a competitive pool of candidates. As a Facilities intern, you will gain valuable experience in a broad range of Real Estate projects, giving you a solid foundation upon which to begin building your career.
What you do:
- Assist in the implementation and management of facility projects, ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance requirements, safety hazards, and adherence to quality standards, utilizing the skills learned from your educational background.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and internal departments, to ensure timely resolution of facility-related issues, leveraging the space management principles and strategies acquired through your education.
- Assist in the development and implementation of facility management processes, policies, and guidelines to optimize operations and utilization of resources, applying your knowledge of efficient space utilization and facility planning.
- Support space planning activities, including analyzing occupancy data, coordinating office moves, and managing space utilization software, utilizing your skills in space management and facility planning.
- Contribute to the coordination and deployment of preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure the efficient functioning of all facility assets, applying the principles of asset management learned from your educational background.
- Participate in the development and implementation of emergency preparedness plans and procedures, utilizing your knowledge of facility safety and emergency planning.
- Assist in the preparation of facility-related reports, metrics, and presentations for management review, utilizing your skills in data analysis and reporting acquired through your educational background.
What you bring:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Facilities Management, Space Management, Real Estate, or a related field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with computer-aided facility management (CAFM/IWMS) software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of facility management principles, including maintenance management, space planning, and sustainable practices.
- Ability to analyze data and generate meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and tasks.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices in facility management is a plus.
