JOB PURPOSE/ROLE


The candidate would be required to provide support to Actuarial Modelling Unit carrying out the following activities:
- Collaboration with DevOps Engineers to operate and monitor production
- Creation, training, execution and validation of statistical models
- Presentation of the qualitative and quantitative results obtained during the development and execution of these models
- Monitoring of models and acting in case of issues
- Development of Cloud Data Platform services
- Code development to find new solutions
- Analysing large datasets to obtain valuable insights
- Improvement of Data Platform
- Being part of cross-functional working groups both at local and international level

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE


- Proven experience (e.g. 3-5 years) in statistical models engineering
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics or similar
- Excellent knowledge of Python and its libraries, relational and non-relational DBs and data transformation (MySQL, SqlServer, ...)
- Excellent Knowledge of Cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), Azure, Google Cloud Platform and of web and cloud technologies (Docker,
Kubernetees, #)
- Github/Jenkins and Linux environment are a plus
- Self-organizing work, proactive result-driven working style, balancing requests and deadlines
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with different stakeholders (managers, business analysts, developers, ...)
- Familiarity with statistical models and machine learning algorithms
- Knowledge of the fundamental concepts regarding Data Warehousing and Big Data
- Fluent in Italian and English (both written and spoken)
