The Head of AZP Europe Platform is responsible for leading and evolving the Budapest-based nearshoring center of excellence for AZP Europe Platform. This position demands high-level strategic planning, advanced leadership skills, and a deep understanding of cross-cultural and cross-functional collaboration, particularly between Budapest and Vienna teams.

You will

• Craft and execute a long-term vision and strategy for the nearshoring center in Budapest, aligning with the company’s global strategy and objectives.
• Work closely with other senior executives, particularly in Vienna, to ensure strategic alignment, resource optimization, and efficient project delivery.
• Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing managerial team, fostering an environment of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Champion the adoption of advanced agile practices across teams, ensuring they are well integrated into all aspects of software development and delivery.
• Facilitate seamless operational collaboration between Budapest and Vienna, ensuring clear communication, shared goals, and unified methodologies.
• Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and practices, keeping the organization at the forefront of the software development industry.
• Engage with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams, to foster strong relationships and a deep understanding of business needs.
• Oversee significant budgets and resources, making strategic decisions to optimize spending and resource allocation.

Your skills

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Extensive executive-level experience in software development, preferably in a nearshoring or multinational context.
• Demonstrated success in leading large, distributed teams and managing cross-cultural, cross-location collaborations.
• Deep expertise in Agile and Lean methodologies, and digital transformation strategies.

• Exceptional leadership qualities, with a proven track record in strategic decision-making and organizational development.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with a strategic mindset.
• High level of emotional intelligence, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.
