The Data Center and Cloud Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing data center and cloud operations and transformation agenda within the CE region, encompassing OS management, middleware database platforms, and middleware web platforms. This role involves leading a team tasks with ensuring the availability, performance, and security of critical infrastructure components supporting business applications and services in collaboration with shared services IF&IS teams.

 

You will

  • Lead and mentor a teams of operations specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and reliable operation of data center and cloud environments. Overseeing of following teams:

OS Management  and Middleware Database Platforms and  Middleware WEB Platforms

  • Participate in solving emergency situations e.g. Incidents / Problems.
  •  Oversee the implementation and maintenance of monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues affecting the availability and performance of infrastructure components.
  •  Cooperate with disciplinary head to setup processes, budget, stability of systems
  • ·Prepare reports on demand.
  • Develop and implement strategies for effectively managing data center and cloud operations, including provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining infrastructure components across OS management, middleware database platforms, and middleware web platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align infrastructure operations with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Manage capacity planning and resource optimization efforts to ensure scalability and cost-effectiveness of data center and cloud infrastructure.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data center and cloud operations, recommending innovations and best practices to optimize infrastructure performance and reliability.
  • Responsible for service quality and cost optimizations, ensuring that data center services are meeting agreed quality expectations (SLA management) as well as continuous improvements and optimisation of services.
  • Responsible for facilitate issue resolution in project & services and coordinate internal and external resources, develop project scopes, including timeline and financials and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Responsible to setup and lead project teams and delegate tasks to successful implementation and proper documentation and handover/transition to operations
  • Responsible for managing customer demands, drive the translation of customer requirements into actions for the delivery of products

 

 

You need

 

  • Bachelor (BSc), Master (MSc) or equivalent experience in a technical field (for example, Computer Science, Engineering...)
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent technical knowledge of interaction between IT applications, network, data center and infrastructure components (knowledge of Allianz IT systems landscape is a benefit)
  • Good ITIL® knowledge (ITIL® foundation level is beneficial)
  • Leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong skills in motivation.
  • Relationship management

SK and CZ: from 2000 EUR and final base salary will depend on the particular experience and skills of the candidate
