Job role

 

In this position you will play a key role in the development of the non-financial reporting process for the Allianz Group, focusing on creating transparency across the performance and activities related to the analysis of the data collected for environmental reporting at Group level.

The Environmental Data Analyst will support the implementation of the Group Sustainability strategy, the corresponding roadmap, as well as the relevant corporate measures and non-financial reporting, including supporting with Sustainability Board presentations.
 

 

What will you do

 

•    Responsible for the analysis and interpretation of the environmental data collected through the internal environmental reporting tool, Microsoft Sustainability Manager.
•    Responsible for acquiring qualitative data from stakeholders and translate it into quantitative data
•    Identify key risks, opportunities and trends providing insights to support strategic decision-making, planning and risk mitigation.
•    Produce regular reports to communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders; Prepare presentations for the Sustainability Board meetings
•    Constantly align and collaborate with Sustainable Operations team members to ensure transparency and keep an overview across the different ongoing projects, including periodic re-assessment of requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and other applicable regulatory guidance
•    Support the preparation and execution of the audit process, as well as presentations for various stakeholders
•    Stay up to date with latest trends in data analysis and environmental-related applications

 

What you bring

•    Academic background preferably in computer science, statistics, information systems or environmental sciences  
•    Knowledge in carbon accounting, environmental protection, energy management, sustainability, or any other related field is a plus
•    Ability to handle complex data sets in the context of an equally complex and fast-changing international environment
•    Previous experience in performing statistical analyses (error distribution analysis, root-cause analysis, error impact assessment etc.) 
•    Very good experience in dealing with large databases

 

You have

 

•    Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required; German language is a plus
•    Strong data management, analytical mindset and presentation skills, innovative mindset
•    Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to drive several projects at once
•    Strong ability to think and act independently and to quickly adapt to new problem settings and situations
•    Proactive, flexible, and energetic team player with a strong personal interest in sustainability issues such as climate change or environmental protection
•    Proficiency in PowerPoint – experience with efficient elements is a plus
•    Proficiency in Excel is a must
•    Good knowledge of Power Query and Power BI. 
•    Agile Certification or experience with an Agile environment is a plus
