Senior Python Developer
About the Job
We are seeking a talented Senior Python Developer with expertise in high-level algorithmic skills and AWS to join the DataHub team within the DEVOPS Business Event group. The team’s mission is to manage and produce events from various systems, publishing them in Kinesis or through connectors.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend applications, primarily focusing on data processing, automation, and building high-performance systems. Using your deep knowledge of Python and AWS services, you will develop scalable solutions that ensure seamless integration and efficient data flow in a cloud-based environment.

What you do
- Develop and deploy advanced Python-based solutions.
- Work with AWS RDS, ECS, and Lambda to design scalable systems.
- Use Git, GitLab, and GitHub for version control and continuous integration.
- Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests and thorough documentation.
What you bring
- Python: Strong focus on high algorithmic proficiency for the development of complex scripts, applications, and services.
- AWS: Deep experience with the following AWS services: RDS (Relational Database Service), ECS (Elastic Container Service), Lambda
- Proficient with Git, GitLab and GitHub.
- Strong skills in writing unit tests, integration tests, and maintaining high-quality documentation.
- Knowledge of SQL, especially Postgres
- Strong dedication to code quality and a pragmatic approach.
- Proactive in taking initiatives and proposing advanced solutions; comfortable handling high levels of complexity and abstraction.
