Head of Procurement will be responsible for the procurement activities for Allianz Technology in a Retained organization setup. The role will be responsible for ensuring the regulatory compliance and the compliance to global standard for the procurement function and for running internal processes for Allianz Technology to ensure governance over the procurement function. The role also includes ensuring a lean but controlled procurement process supported by standard tools across Allianz Technology including the branches. The role requires close collaboration with Global Sourcing and Procurement, Operational Procurement teams in Allianz Services, internal customers (requesters), Branches, Finance Functions (Controlling, Accounting, Tax, Risk, Legal, Compliance), Operations Function regarding tools and roll outs, Regional CFOs and CTOs. 


You will

  • Manage intragroup service provider(s) according to existing service level agreement(s) for strategic, operational procurement and provider management services  

  • Joint Design and Development of Target Procurement Process and Tools with Group Sourcing and Procurement 

  • Ownership for AZT Committees related to procurement activities, if any (e.g. Operational Procurement Steering Committee).  

  • Drive Procure 2 Pay processes within AZ Technology 

  • Ensure Allianz Group Standard for Procurement is implemented timely across AZ Technology 

  • Support Global Category strategies to harvest benefits of size and scale. 

  • Support finance in maintaining the company budget, savings targets and monitoring Volume Based Rebate bookings and being contact person for VBR´s bookings   

  • Facilitate contract signature and demand steering in the sense of escalation management 

  • Ensuring regulatory compliance for Procurement activities (e.g. Risk Management , Compliance, P&R) 


Your skills

  • Relevant Procurement experience matured in the context of a financial institution 

  • Knowledge of the regulatory framework and of the internal regulations concerning third parties  

  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development 

  • Good understanding of Allianz Technology’s role and operating model 

  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage and manage key stakeholders within Allianz Technology for Demand 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities 

  • Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines 

  • Commercial and financial ability for managing budgets, targets
