  • What’s your mission at Allianz?

    By far most of my time is spent undertaking audits. This entails learning about the area, becoming familiar with the risks it faces, testing the design of controls and whether these controls are operating in practice. The best part of the job is the opportunity to understand how different areas of business, from HR to InfoSec to Claims etc. work together. I meet people from all areas of the organization.

    What’s your career progression?

    I started my career at a leading life insurance organization in India, moved to the UK in 2005, worked for a legal expenses insurance company, and joined Allianz as an underwriting analyst in 2011. Now that I have been in Internal Audit for five years as well, I am able to combine my insurance expertise with my risk and control experience to help identify improvements to Allianz governance, risk management and control.

    What's surprising about your job?

    My best friend thinks that I usually sit in front of a bunch of figures and add them up. In fact, I work on a huge variety of different subjects from HR to Operational Resilience.
