Tips for your application

Find the right job and then remember: Your application is your business card.

Your resume is the key to a good application. A well-structured resume will help you emphasise your professional experience and successes.

The type size should be clearly legible and the overall layout and formatting should be simple. Start with your personal details, followed by your education or professional training, professional experience, languages, international experience, other activities and hobbies.

Personal data: Please be sure to include all important contact details such as your name, email address, phone number and postal address in your resume.
Education/licenses/designations/certifications: Your resume should accurately reflect your education along with any licenses, designations or certifications earned.

Professional experience: List your previous jobs and the duration of employment with each company. Summarise important details of your tasks in each position including significant accomplishments or projects.

Before you submit your application, don’t forget your attachments. References, job confirmations, transcripts of grades and any other relevant written documentation are necessary to substantiate your qualifications and experience.

If you don’t have a resume ready, your up-to-date LinkedIn profile is a great place to start. You can quickly download a professional PDF version to use as a solid foundation for your application.

How to Download Your PDF Resume:
Step 1: Navigate to your LinkedIn profile page (Click the "Me" icon -> "View Profile").
Step 2: Click the "Resources" button, located directly below your name and headline.
Step 3: From the options that appear, select "Save to PDF".

Your resume will be downloaded in a professional PDF format.

Tip: While the LinkedIn PDF is a great starting point, tailor your resume for each job by adjusting your summary and highlighting role-specific experience.

When you’ve found a role you’d like to apply for, it’s time to work on your application. You may need to provide a cover letter that outlines your skills, experience and suitability for the role you’re interested in. Remember- always customise your cover letter for each application. The best cover letters are short and to the point, but make sure you include the below points as a minimum:
  • Why do you want to work for Allianz?
  • What interests you about the position?
  • What makes you the right candidate for the position?

Take the time to familiarise yourself with the role you’ve applied for by learning the main tasks and responsibilities that could be required in the job. Be prepared to provide examples from your previous employment that you can relate to the tasks and responsibilities of the role you’re interviewing for.

It’s also a good idea to spend some time researching Allianz, who we are and what we do. This will help you during your interview.

Is there an easy way to get ready? Yes! Read on this page how Alexa Voice Assistant can help you with your interview preparation.

It’s not unusual to be nervous before and during an interview- remember, this is just an opportunity to get to know each other! You don’t need to be nervous. Throughout your interview, provide short, precise answers and if you need a little time to think about your answer, feel free to take a moment and gather your thoughts. Where possible, give specific examples from your own work history to support your answers.

Use your interview as an opportunity to ask questions, show your interest and learn more about the position and Allianz as an employer.
