A career path infused with creativity and collaboration
Originally from the United Kingdom, and armed with a degree in journalism, Chris discovered his affinity for copywriting, drawn by its potential for limitless creativity, and opportunities to work across a diverse range of industries and projects.
After making his way to Sydney in 2014 to be closer to family, Chris embarked on a new career path by joining a telecommunications company. There, he acquired valuable insights into writing for digital, content strategy and SEO, forming the foundations that have subsequently shaped his career in digital.
Then, prompted by a recommendation from a former colleague, Chris's path led him to Allianz in 2021. He was drawn to the flat organisational structure, where every voice is valued, and the workplace culture, which includes flexible working arrangements and encourages continued personal growth.
Enhancing the customer experience
Since his first role at Allianz as a Senior Digital Content Specialist, Chris has progressed over the last two years to become a team manager.
Together, Chris and his team maintain a consistent, brand-aligned tone across websites, sales funnels and third-party platforms, leveraging his journalistic perspective to craft engaging and informative content.

“I aim to create content that aligns with our global ethical and sustainability priorities,” he shares. “This involves creating content that is engaging, informative and easy to understand, while also being mindful of our environment and the issues that surround it.”
