Our Ways of Working in action!

Flexibility, collaboration, and productivity guide our hybrid work model. We offer you the option to work remotely at least 40% of the time and you may also be eligible to work up to 4 weeks a year abroad. Remote opportunities are also supported by the right in-office spaces that allow you to think creatively and work best with your colleagues.

Collaborate and innovate with your colleagues in real-time using our global tools that help you work across locations, borders, and devices.  

We offer robust professional mental health, well-being, and development offerings to keep you healthy and working as your best self. From a global mindfulness community (that offers daily mindfulness sessions among other offerings), to free 24/7 mental health support, and a global meeting etiquette that outlines meeting free times and breaks between calls, we care that you experience the right balance between life and work. Take ownership of your growth and development fostered within a lifelong learning culture that encourages you to devote one hour of work time per week to learning. This is supported by thousands of digital learning opportunities that can be further customized into pathways to specifically address your personal development plans and career goals.

We offer team workshops to help you build the right hybrid habits, equip our leaders with development programs, work using agile methodology, and offer everyone engagement and volunteering opportunities.

Ways of Working Experiences

Meet Heather

With our Ways of Working at Allianz, getting things done is a lot faster and more flexible now. While I still use email for most of my work, our integrated digital tools and chat features make it easy to get quick answers during my day. In addition, I’ve started to work on broadening my horizons and look forward to enjoying my first experience working abroad in sunny Croatia! Plus, the global standard to have meetings start with a 5-minute delay after the hour by default has been a lifesaver and I recommend it to everyone.

Meet Paul

I really enjoy the flexibility that our Ways of Working (WOW) allow—the tech setup makes it quite seamless to alternate between working from home or in the office and the digital tools available for us have increased productivity. I really appreciate how the Ways of Working are designed to care for my work-life balance which makes me feel that my mental health is preserved and catered too. For the first time in my life, I have done hybrid meetings and I was really impressed by how it positively impacts the team´s communication and efficiency. I feel like our WOW has contributed to my empowerment thanks to digital tools, skills, and training and I am now more resilient and prepared for change.

Meet Redeat

My favorite part of Allianz's Ways of Working (WOW) is that I'm empowered to work in a way that suits my individual needs. In my role as scrum master of global teams, our WOW impacts me personally because collaboration and continuous delivery to our customers is crucial. Among other things, our Ways of Working fosters two pillars which provide tools and structure that enable me to conduct my tasks efficiently. For me, when I think about how I’ve grown or what is different now with our WOW, I’d say that I have a better work-life balance.
