Senior Life Actuary (m/f/d) in Group Risk
Within Allianz SE, Group Risk (GR) is in charge of managing risks to bolster Allianz's financial strength and to support value-focused company leadership. As such, GR report on the Group's overall risk profile, ensuring that individual Allianz companies adhere to the Group's risk governance principles.~crlf~ ~crlf~The Life Risk Centre of Competence is the expert team of GR for the modelling and the management of life, health and pension risks. Their main responsibilities include:~crlf~##Proactively identifying, assessing and reporting of the life, health and pension risks of Allianz Group. This includes evaluating emerging risks, industry developments and other current events that can impact our business. ~crlf~##Developing and maintaining the best practices for the stochastic modelling of life business with coordination with Allianz Investment Management (AIM), Group Actuarial, Allianz RE and Group Accounting. Providing support to OEs on stochastic modelling for their life portfolios e.g. how to manage their back book with solutions such as reinsurance or M&A transactions.~crlf~##Defining and maintaining the modelling framework of life, health and pensions biometrical and business risks of Allianz Internal Model.~crlf~##Advising the Group Product Approval Committee on life-related transactions and product approval exceeding local authorities.
##Provide support to operating entities on stochastic modelling for their life portfolios. For example: ~crlf~- Prepare cash flows based on reinsurance/M&A solutions for pricing/valuation~crlf~- Prepare cash flows and sensitivities for inforce and new business projections ~crlf~- Analyse results from stochastic cash flows e.g. own funds, policyholder bonuses~crlf~- Development of model code on Risk Agility FM platform~crlf~ ~crlf~##Provide support to operating entities on wider topics of life inforce transactions. For example:~crlf~- Discussions with regulator with regards to business case and modelling methodology~crlf~- Discussions with relevant stakeholders with regards to collateral, model governance, accounting treatment, tax implications ~crlf~ ~crlf~##Require actively managing and coordinating with stakeholders within entities, at Allianz Group and regulators.~crlf~##Participate in the expert working group with AIM, Group Actuarial, Allianz RE and Group Accounting.~crlf~##Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk management, including risk identification, risk assessment, risk analysis, control assessment.~crlf~
Qualification:~crlf~##Actuarial qualification desired. University degree in actuarial, financial economics or other comparable technical degree. ~crlf~##In-depth knowledge of actuarial techniques, in particular stochastic asset liability interaction modelling and assumption setting~crlf~##In-depth knowledge of different life & health insurance product classes, pricing and product development~crlf~##Excellent understanding of the principles that underpin Solvency II risk based supervision~crlf~##Excellent understanding of principle-based valuations such as market consistent embedded value, IFRS, and economic valuation for Life insurance~crlf~##Fluent English skills (written and spoken)~crlf~~crlf~ ~crlf~Experience & Key Skills:~crlf~##5+ years of experience in risk management and ALM~crlf~##MoSes or Risk Agility FM development and coding skills to an 'expert' level~crlf~##Effective communication and interpersonal skills~crlf~##Ability to work within a fast-paced, diverse working environment~crlf~##Detail-oriented, collaborative, eager to learn, and proactive~crlf~##Candidate should be open to international travel for assignments (depending on Covid situation)~crlf~
