Labour/Employee Relations - Human Resources
Labour Relations Manager implements and maintains a company's labor relations programs, policies and procedures. Ensures satisfactory labor-management relations and helps interpret collective bargaining agreements. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility and gives input into developing the budget.~crlf~
- Resolving employees' issues and handling complaints to protect the general interests.~crlf~- Research on labor laws, healthcare regulations, best practices etc. ~crlf~- Provision of advice for department managers on how to deal with employees, most of all in extraordinary situations.~crlf~- Manages the administration of the collective bargaining agreement, contract administration and interpretation.~crlf~- Monitors implementation of policies concerning wages, hours, and working conditions, to ensure compliance with terms of labor contract.~crlf~- Data Analytics Reports. Prepares statistical reports, using records of actions taken concerning grievances, arbitration and mediation cases, and related labor relations activities, to identify problem areas.~crlf~- HR Budget & Forecast. ~crlf~~crlf~
• University degree in law or related field.~crlf~• 5 years’ experience in Labor Relations management/advisory role.~crlf~• Sound knowledge of employment law and practical application.~crlf~• Strong communication and negotiation skills.~crlf~• Ability to effectively solve problems and make decisions.~crlf~• Excellent Excel and Word skills. ~crlf~• Fluent spoken and written English required.
