Vice President - Life & Annuity Operations - New Business

    The purpose of this role is to lead and manage a talented staff of 100+ individuals who provide back office support to Allianz Life by processing, underwriting and issuing annuity and life insurance contracts. This dynamic role is primarily responsible for: developing and sustaining strong partnerships with our numerous distribution leaders; collaborating on cross-organizational topics while demonstrating thorough understanding of all New Business areas of accountability; ensuring consistent quality through best-in-class controls and processes; delivering automated solutions streamlining New Business processes and ultimately improving customer and employee experiences; oversight of costs and expenses; championing employee engagement practices to ensure Allianz delivers an industry leading service experience for our customers.~crlf~~crlf~This role is accountable for all aspects of the service delivery for Life and Annuity New Business including direct oversight of the Chief Underwriter and Chief Medical role. Additionally, this role oversees Case Management, Suitability, Policy Issue, Underwriting and Relationship Management. This role also works closely with Legal, Compliance, IT, Risk, Sales and Marketing to ensure the service experience is closely aligned with the overall corporate objectives while also driving loyalty among our producers and policy owners.~crlf~~crlf~As a senior member of the Enterprise Operations Team, this individual will partner closely with other senior members to deliver an integrated service strategy across the policy lifecycle.

  • Responsabilidades

    • New Business & UW service delivery: Deliver consistent service levels for policy issue, keeping all stakeholders well informed of key metrics. ~crlf~~crlf~• Proactively manage staffing models and expenses, anticipating needs to ensure consistent service delivery.~crlf~~crlf~• Seek automated solutions in partnership with IT to remove manual processes and reduce errors.~crlf~~crlf~• Develop dashboards and metrics to track productivity, service levels, customer views, etc.~crlf~~crlf~• Measure and respond to customer feedback on service.~crlf~~crlf~• Coach, mentor and develop staff to provide an environment where employee development is a key focus.~crlf~~crlf~• Oversee offshore support for New Business & Underwriting functions.~crlf~~crlf~• Partner with Actuarial and Risk to optimize Underwriting opportunities.~crlf~~crlf~• Provide project leadership for key initiatives supporting the company’s objectives.

  • Requisitos / Habilidades

    – 11+ years of operational leadership experience required with strong knowledge of; Life & Annuity products, distribution models, underwriting leadership and expense management.~crlf~– Four-year degree required: Business or related field.~crlf~– FINRA Series 6/7, 24/26 strongly preferred.
