Sr Operatons Associate/Operations Specialist - Claims (Life)

Under general supervision, responsible for effectively adjudicating claims on life products, including living benefits (waiver, disability, critical/chronic/terminal illness), as well as death claims, by accurately applying knowledge of Allianz's business, products, and operations. Successfully influences business results by: establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships; ensuring a high degree of productivity and quality; and recommending process improvements for assigned functional area. Accountable for adhering to established guidelines, policies and procedures and meeting/exceeding all benchmarks.

- Respond to, validate, and/or approve varied and complex customer service/beneficiary requests and inquiries for all customer segments, by applying knowledge and following established practices and standards. ~crlf~- Review, research, problem solve, and recommend resolutions for non-routine customer inquiries. Escalates to next level as needed~crlf~- Ensure a high quality claim adjudication process by: using sound judgement to conduct thorough detailed investigations, approve/validate claims, evaluate risk, and manage decisions with regulatory impact~crlf~- Mentor other team members and act as a resource for assigned area~crlf~- Coordinate and assist with team and department projects. Participate in special assignments and projects as required to meet business needs~crlf~- Influence business results by providing proactive customer service, education and communication~crlf~~crlf~

- 1-2 years of experience required: Allianz Operations, Insurance or Financial Industry, in various customer service focused areas~crlf~- 2-3 years of experience preferred: Allianz Operation's end-to-end process, focused on customer relationships~crlf~- High school diploma required; two-year degree preferred: Business or general education~crlf~- Investigative and problem solving skills required~crlf~- Customer service experience – especially phone experience, required~crlf~- Must possess excellent communication skills via the phone, email and written correspondence~crlf~- Life Claims Experience preferred~crlf~~crlf~
