Senior Underwriting Analyst
Provide underwriting technical support to the MidCorp Middle Market team. The role is meant to handle processes coordination (authorities, referrals, business reviews, training coordination), coordinate LoB PCs and manage communication. Interface to other Departments e.g. IT, OBT and Finance. Additionally, support in the development of an aligned UW guidelines framework (e.g MSU, R&P) and contribute to Claims, IIS and ARC coordination.
Underwriting Strategy & Knowledge Transfer~crlf~##Support development of global LoB strategy, UW policy and all other relevant issues concerning LoB~crlf~##Organize trainings for AGCS Liability units / PCs (UW Academy, seminars etc.) based on input from PCs, Global Product Development and Global Portfolio Steering and Pricing ~crlf~##Prepare internal & external meetings (contents)~crlf~Profit Center Coordination~crlf~##Coordinate LoB profit centers in terms of general aspects~crlf~##Prepare approvals (UW Committee, GUC etc.)~crlf~Global Processes, IT-Systems and Tools~crlf~##Represent LoB / UW as BLO and in respect of global (IT) systems and processes~crlf~##Develop, define and coordinate global processes (e. g. referral flow)~crlf~UW Approach and Compliance~crlf~##Develop and update LoB specific guidelines and implement / monitor adherence to MSU, MQES, RI exclusions, R&Ps, circulars etc. and coordinate global issues (e. g. sanctions)~crlf~##Prepare and conduct Business Reviews (including tools)~crlf~Communication and Product Marketing~crlf~##Develop and Coordinate Product marketing (e. g. brochures, presentation, etc. incl. advertisement and global product design); ~crlf~##Develop and coordinate publications (internet, intranet etc.) in cooperation with PCs and Global Product Development ~crlf~Relationship Management~crlf~##Represent AGCS internally in the group, and externally to customers, the industry, and other organizations~crlf~##Drive involvement of functional areas in process coordination including e.g. Market Management, Operations, Actuarial ~crlf~##Actively support LoB specific projects and task forces~crlf~~crlf~
##Bachelor Degree: Degree in Business Administration / Mathematics / Statistics / Finance and/or Actuarial background~crlf~##Certification: Advanced knowledge in Excel and Database applications~crlf~##Minimum 3 to 5 years: Significant experience in underwriting management and/or organization and/or processes management~crlf~##Understanding of relevant technical and financial analysis of industrial underwriting cases or equivalent~crlf~##Successful track record of leadership of direct teams or complex matrix environments~crlf~##Experience of working internationally with strong ability for cross border adaption~crlf~##Risk Assessment and Management: ability to assess risk inherent exposures and (natural) hazards relevant to Property~crlf~##Portfolio Management: manage the underwriting books, monitor appropriate investments and allocate funds accordingly; analyze trends and scenario plans~crlf~##Contract Drafting and Interpretation: design, develop and implement consistent, robust wordings~crlf~##Pricing: analyze current performance against various benchmarks with a view to ensure adequate progress and satisfactory performance~crlf~##Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire.~crlf~##Strategic Planning: Ability to develop, implement and communicate strategies to address important trends or changes in the business~crlf~~crlf~
